Stage Left: One Last Christmas in Millsburg

A World Premiere of a new play by our very own Assistant Artistic Director, Garrett Michael McCann. It is Christmas time in Millsburg, an all but deserted town living in the shadow of its abandoned steel mill. Colin, the high school theatre director – unemployed due to recent budget cuts – convinces Mitch – the lone member of the City Council – to invest in a community production of A Christmas Carol to improve morale and rally the town. It seems the fate of the town rests on Colin’s shoulders. But he does have help from his stage manager Rachel, and his ill-cast troupe actors, including: Doris, the professional “artiste” and theatre veteran (think Norma Desmond,) Janice, straight A+ student and DIY queen, and Joshua, a young man dealing with the ghosts of his own past. Can this one show keep Millsburg from becoming a ghost town?
