K2 by Patrick Meyers – The setting is an icy ledge high up on K2, the world’s second highest mountain. Two climbers, Taylor and Harold, are stranded at 27,000 feet, and Harold has suffered a broken leg in their precipitous descent. This thrilling, challenging play uses mountain climbing as a metaphor to explore a deeper theme: the recognition that human beings are free to choose whether they will live or die and do so calmly and objectively, even under the most severe conditions.

Built by William Stackhouse circa 1895, Rosewood Manor is one of the grandest private homes in Marion County! This 8,000 square foot mansion was recently restored by its new owners. Operated as a bed and breakfast today, it could easily be considered a cultural masterpiece! An amazing art collection from masters around the world, including Rembrandt, Picasso and Warhol, is not to be missed. This residence has ten original fireplaces and mantels, sixteen ornate chandeliers and the house is filled with period antiques.
We will also visit The Marion Emporium where we will see: Collectibles, books, jewelry and vintage and consignment items. Our lunch will be at Webster’s in Mullins, a famous meeting place for locals.
