The Goddess of the Sea is coming to Plyler Park in another month or so. A 12-foot-tall sculpture of a mermaid and two leaping dolphins will soon become a centerpiece in Plyler Park. Fabrication of the bronze sculpture by artist Kristin Visbal is underway this summer. Once cast, the full-sized piece will be installed at the park, likely in October. The photos shown here are from a 24-inch version of the Goddess of the Sea, also cast in bronze. Enjoy!
