Pottery Classes at the Art Museum starting Feb 19

new pottery classes starting Tuesday, February 19!

Lineta Pritchard Pottery Studio
The Art Museum’s Lineta Pritchard Pottery Studio [est. 2018] includes six pottery wheels, an area for hand-building, stations for glazing and cleaning and a kiln room. With small, intimate class sizes, instructors provide students (ages 16 and up) of all levels of experience with one-on-one attention, working with them to enhance their technical strengths and improve technique. Both wheel throwing and hand-building (i.e., pinching, coiling and slab-building) classes are offered.

We offer:

Wheel Throwing |Learn the basics on the wheel including centering, pulling, trimming and more. Seasoned potters can expand on the skills they already have.
Hand Building |Beginners are introduced to slabs, scoring and slipping, molds, patterns and more! Those with experience can explore more techniques in both building and glazing.
Combination Classes | Whether you’re not sure which method is for you or you enjoy both hand building and wheel throwing, we now offer combination classes!
