Campbell Sculpture Center
The workshop presents an in-depth exploration of the portrait in clay, including anatomy, form concepts, proportion, structure and design. It will offer a conceptual approach to sculpting the portrait head with an emphasis on each artist’s power of observation. Individual attention will be given to each student, and there will be daily talks and demos that will include drawing with a focus on the structure and design of the entire head and each feature. The class will include a model. Students will get a basic foundation in portrait sculpture that gives them the tools necessary for exploring personal expression and further developing their sculpting skills.
Workshop fee is $650 plus materials and model’s fees.
