Artist-led tour of
Layerings: A Glimpse of Southeast Asia
Friday, December 302 p.m.
Free and open to the public
Photographer Celia Pearson will lead a tour of her exhibition at 2 pm on Friday, December 30, in celebration of the final day of Celia Pearson’s Layerings: A Glimpse of Southeast Asia.  Accompanied by her traveling companions – her mother Nicole Wolf, who lives in Annapolis, MD, and her sister Andrea Lee, who lives in Washington DC – Pearson traveled through Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam and was inspired to create a series crowned by photomontages printed on silk, rice paper and cotton rag paper that reflect the beauty, energy and majesty of both the ancient and contemporary cultures she encountered.  Pearson, Wolf and Lee will all be present for the artist-led tour.
Admission to the tour and to the Museum is free, and donations are appreciated. Layerings will be open through December 30 and on view during normal hours. The Art Museum will be closed from December 31 through January 2.
