Set in small-town Ohio, the play features a competitive middle school dance team whose female members experience the emotional extremes of adolescence as they contend with themselves and one another to reach their goal: acceptance to the Boogie Down Grand Prix in Tampa Bay. Robin Edwards Russell, professor in the Department of Theatre, directs this fresh, unique take on the power and vulnerability of evolving young women.
