Waterway Art Association, Calabash

Waterway Art Association, Calabash

WAA is a local group of artists located in Calabash, North Carolina. Our membership includes all skill levels from beginner to professional, with media including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, pen and ink and more.
We have Professional Instructor one day workshops, offered monthly January to May and September to November. In addition, the second and third Wednesdays WAA offers casual, informative, demonstrations presented by members. The fourth Wednesday we have a live model sketching session. WAA also has group outdoor painting and sketching opportunities offered weekly at various locations, weather permitting.
Informal paint-in sessions are held on Wednesdays throughout the year (excluding the last two weeks of December) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Artists bring their current projects and share the experience of painting together, peer to peer mentoring, and positive critiques. Informative general business meetings are held September through May (excluding December) on the third Wednesday of the month at Noon.
We provide many opportunities for members to promote their work in the community and online. We host an annual judged exhibit in May.
WE MEET AT:
