CCU Theatre: The Collective ft. Kevin Kane

CCU Theatre: The Collective featuring Kevin Kane

The Collective unites professional artists who share a responsibility to create work in the contemporary American theater that is emotionally truthful, socially relevant and accessible. Established in 2007 in New York City by a group of actors including Emmy Award-winning producer and CCU alumnus Kevin Kane*, the company operates in the tradition of the Group Theatre under the belief that the current conditions of commercialized theater necessitate collective action. Kane, who appeared with Amy Schumer in “Trainwreck,” will perform with members of The Collective including Emma Canalese, Karen Chamberlain, Robert Z. Grant*, Mike Houston, Lacy Marie Meyer, Marcus Naylor*, and CCU alumnus Brandon T. Snider with Rachel Dart as stage manager. The group presents six original 10-minute plays that premiered at the Collective: 10 Short Play Festival in September 2016. Friday’s event includes a question/answer panel following the performance.
